PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the number of times for separating and coupling is increased when correcting landing position displacement when separating and coupling a black head and color heads and making them movable. SOLUTION: A pattern 400b (101k1 outward) to be measured of the first pattern row and two standard patterns 400a sandwiching the same are read by a pattern reading sensor 401 by making a black carriage 15 scan along an outward passage with the color carriage 16 coupled, the black carriage is returned, a pattern 400b (101k2 homeward) to be measured of the second pattern raw and two standard patterns 400a sandwiching the same are read by the pattern reading sensor 401 by making the black carriage 15 along the outward passage again with the color carriage 16 coupled.
