Composition of a phase change gel comprises: a phase change material (PCM) comprising at least one aqueous salt solution forming eutectic; at least one water soluble polymer comprising hydrophobic units; and super absorbent grains of crosslinked polymer with a particle size of 0.2-4 mm. An independent claim is included for a method of gelling of PCM for storing and regaining latent heat energy, comprising: preparing an aqueous composition; and injecting the composition into containers before the gel structuring.
