The device (1) has equipment (4) for attaching contraction labels on container (10) and another equipment (2) for thermal treating of the containers. The former equipment is subordinated for attaching of contraction labels of the latter equipment for thermal treating of the containers. The shrinking of the contraction labels is carried out alone from temperature contents of the container. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for attaching contraction labels on container; and (2) a container provided with a lateral area.
