PURPOSE: A system and a method for dividing a dynamic lighting in a virtual world are provided to distribute a dynamic lighting to client terminals placed at an adjacent regions and to allow the client terminals to calculate the illumination intensity of the distributed dynamic lighting so that the load of a server may be reduced and a dynamic and broad illumination effect may be performed. CONSTITUTION: A system for dividing a dynamic lighting in virtual world includes a server and client terminals. The server provides a virtual world, and generates an illumination texture that is to be used for broad illumination rendering in the virtual world(S404,S406). When a dynamic lighting occurs in the virtual world, the calculation of the intensity of the dynamic lighting is requested to the adjacent client terminals(S412). The illumination texture is updated by receiving the calculation results of the distributed illumination from the client terminals(S416,S418). The client terminals display the virtual world received from the server. |
