PURPOSE: A light control apparatus for a railway vehicle is provided to turn off a lamp installed in an engineer's cabin after a set delay time when a start key is pulled out of a key box. CONSTITUTION: A light control apparatus for a railway vehicle comprises a battery power(10), a switch(20), and a time delay relay(30). The battery power is installed in a railway vehicle. The switch is installed between the battery power and a lamp installed in the engineer's cabin of the railway vehicle and controls the electric power supply to the lamp from the battery power. The time delay relay controls so that the switch is turned off after a set time when the input of a start signal to the railway vehicle is cut off. The switch comprises a manual control switch and a time delayed switch.
