Cross-correlation dynamic light scattering (DLS) method and system

A method and system are described for improving dynamic light scattering and static light scattering measurements of multiply-scattering systems. The incident beams (1) are shuttered and the outputs of the photon detectors (9) are gated at a common modulation frequency. As a result, the correlation of the gated detected photon events leads to a greatly improved cross-correlation intercept.
