A safety door or window frame, particularly of the fire-resistant type or the like, comprising a plurality of metal profiles (1, 1') internally hollow and reciprocally connected to one another to define at least one frame (T, T') and one safety lock (L) reciprocally coupled with one of the metal profiles (1, 1'). The profile (1) to which the safety lock (L) is coupled includes an elongated element (2) defining a second longitudinal axis (Y) substantially parallel to the first longitudinal axis (X). The elongated element (2) has, for its whole length, a substantially U-shaped section to define a longitudinal compartment (5) which has sufficient dimensions to removably house at least the longitudinal metal bars (A) of the safety lock (L), so as to put them easily accessible for maintenance or replacement by an operator with the door or window frame connected to the stationary support (M).
