<p>A venting valve has a securing part 1 and a valve body 18 that is provided with at least one venting slot 19. In order for the venting valve to be produced and mounted in simple and inexpensive way and still ensure a reliable sealing action that requires little mounting space, a closure tension acts on the venting slot 19. The closure tension is caused by a force generated within the venting valve after mounting. During mounting of the venting valve on an apparatus, the force is mandatorily generated and, in turn, exerts its closure tension on the venting slot. The venting valves are suitable for sealing apparatus such as motor, axle, or transmission housings.</p> |
