The invention relates to the production of scintillation elements based on paraterphenyl for detector ionizing radiations. A method for production of polycrystal scintillators based on activated paraterphenyl, comprising the producing of crystal starting raw as plates by crystallization from saturated solution of mix of scintillation p-terphenyl luminophors and 1,4diphenylbutadiene- organic solvent, its pressing at corresponding temperature and at gradual increasing of pressure from atmosphere, keeping at increased pressure for 20-40 min with further decrease of pressure to atmospheric one. The starting raw is preliminarily degassed, kept during 2-3 hours, and then preliminarily pressing is carried out at pressure of 1-6 MPa during 30-60 min, after that the pressing is continuedgraduallyincreasing pressure to 150-170 MPa during 30-40 min. at constant degassing, with further decreasing pressure to atmosphere during 20-30 min. The method provides the improvement of light output of scintillators and increasing their stability in operation process comprising scintillators less than of thickness. |
