METHOD FOR WHITENING PIGMENT SPOTS IN TEETH AFFECTED WITH FLUOROSIS

A method for whitening the pigment spots in the teeth affected with fluorosis comprises the isolation of gingivae and the procedure for whitening with the aid of the whitening gel Opalustre™. After removal of the whitening gel, the enamel is etched with Icon-Etch for 2 min, washed with water for 30 s, and dried in air. Then Icon-Dry is applied for 30 s followed by Icon-lnfiitrant for 3 min with 40-s flashing with photopolymeric lamp. Icon-lnfiitrant is then applied for further 1 min with 40-s flashing with photopolymeric lamp. Finally, the surface is polished.
