FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics and can be used to predict cosmetic result of surgical treatment of foot anterior part deformation. In pre-operation period radiography of foot bones is performed. If head of the first and the second metatarsal bone has spherical shape, favourable cosmetic result of further surgical treatment is predicted. If articular surface of the first metatarsal bone head is slanted from external side, risk of valgus deviation of the first foot toe in post-operation period and unfavourable cosmetic result are predicted. If articular surface of the second metatarsal bone head has rectangular or spherical shape, favourable cosmetic result of future surgical treatment is predicted, as the second toe will be placed in correct position. If articular surface of the second metatarsal bone head is slanted from external side, risk of valgus deviation of the second foot toe in post-operation period is predicted, which creates unsatisfactory cosmetic result if the first toe is placed correctly. ^ EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of prognosis and predict cosmetic outcome of operation. ^ 5 dwg |
