FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing of material and may be used in grinding at various machine tools incorporating planet grinding head. Grinding is performed by several cup-shaped grinding wheel fitted in planet grinding head and revolving about their axes and that of planet head. Article is driven along normal line to wheel working surface while its axis of symmetry is displaced toward vector of speed relative to that of planet head for value defined from the expression y=Dh/2-(do+di)/2, where Dh is diameter of planet head; do, di stand for OD and ID of cup-shaped wheels, respectively. ^ EFFECT: lower roughness of ground surfaces. ^ 1 dwg, 2 tbl |
