Provided is a sunblock composition which contains a surfactant (a), water (b), oil (c), and a water-soluble ultraviolet absorber and/or an oil-soluble ultraviolet absorber (d), and which has a bicontinuous microemulsion phase at 25°C. Said sunblock composition exerts excellent ultraviolet blocking properties and provides a pleasant feel upon use. Moreover, said sunblock composition spreads well on the skin when applied to the skin, exerts excellent application evenness, blends well with the skin, and has a transparent bicontinuous microemulsion phase. |
