The invention relates to a front section (1) of the fuselage of an aircraft comprising secure access between the cockpit (2) and the passenger cabin (3) while being compact. For this purpose, the front section (1) comprises a separation means (9) including at least one mobile element (10) suitable for being slid between an extended closing position in which said separation means (9) defines, together with the door of the cockpit (5), a transition area (7) between the cockpit (2) and the passenger cabin (3), preventing persons from crossing between the passenger cabin (3) and said transition area (7); and a retracted open position in which said separation means (9) allows persons to cross between the passenger cabin (3) and said transition area (7).
