Disclosed is a route guidance device provided with: a map data storage unit for storing map data including facility information; a vehicle position specification unit for specifying the position of a vehicle; a facility search unit for using the map data to search for facilities in accordance with the position of the vehicle specified by the vehicle position specification unit; a facility display unit for displaying facility information searched by the facility search unit; a facility selection unit for selecting a facility from the facility information displayed by the facility display unit as a destination point or a waypoint; a route search unit for searching for a recommendation route in which the facility selected by the facility selection unit serves as a destination point or a waypoint; and a route guide unit for guiding the vehicle along the recommendation route searched by the route search unit.
