摘要 <p>Provided is an athermal optical waveguide element capable of having a fixed resonance wavelength of a desired value, and capable of compensating for changes and variations in the resonance wavelength without increasing power consumption. The athermal optical waveguide element is provided with at least one ring resonance device which includes an athermalized optical waveguide comprising a combination of a positive material and a negative material in the temperature coefficient of the refractive index; a resonance wavelength varying means which is provided at least on one part of the optical waveguide or in proximity thereto so as to change the resonance wavelength of the ring resonance device based on an applied voltage; a light receiving element which detects at least one light output from the ring resonance device as electrical output; and a voltage control circuit which adjusts the voltage applied to the resonance wavelength varying means in response to the electrical output level of the light receiving element.</p>
