Disclosed is a stowing type seat for a vehicle such that a seat body (1) disposed on a vehicle floor (F) is sprung up sideways and stowed in a vehicle interior side wall (W) portion the upper part of which is inclined inward. This stowing type seat has a connecting mechanism (10) which rotatably connects the seat body (1) to a support block (20). The connecting mechanism (10) consists of a four-link assembly which comprises a fixed link that is integral with the support block (20); an intermediate link (3A) that is integral with the seat body (1); and a first link (11) and a second link (12) which connect the fixed link and the intermediate link (3A) to each other. The second link (12) is constituted in such a way that the angle (?) which is formed between the first link (11) and the intermediate link (3A) by a movement that causes the seat body (1) to spring up, is made large.
