Disclosed is a non-aqueous electrolyte cell that has excellent cycle characteristics, and suppresses the generation of gas, preventing the swelling of a covering material: a non-aqueous electrolyte cell-provided with: a covering material; an anode that is housed within the aforementioned covering material and that is provided with a first collector and an anode layer formed on at least one surface of the first collector; a cathode that is housed within the aforementioned covering material and that is provided with a second collector and a cathode layer formed on at least one surface of the second collector and disposed in a manner so as to face the aforementioned anode layer; and a non-aqueous electrolyte that fills the interior of the aforementioned covering material-wherein the aforementioned anode layer has a first anode active material of which the lithium adsorption/desorption potential is at least 0.4 V relative to a lithium standard electrode; the aforementioned cathode layer has a first cathode active material containing a layer-shaped lithium/nickel/cobalt/manganese complex oxide, and a second cathode active material containing a lithium/cobalt complex oxide of which at least a portion of the surface is covered with a metal compound; the volume of pores having a diameter of between 0.01 and 1.0 µm inclusive obtained by a mercury press-in method of the aforementioned cathode layer is between 0.06 and 0.25 mL inclusive per 1 g of mass of the aforementioned cathode layer excluding the mass of the aforementioned second collector; and the pore surface area in the pore volume range of pore diameters between 0.01 and 1.0 µm inclusive obtained by means of the mercury press-in method is between 2.4 and 8 m2/g inclusive.
