<p>Provided is a 3D image control apparatus which suppresses uneven brightness in a screen showing an observation image produced in a 3D image viewing system comprising an impulse-type display device and liquid-crystal shutter eyeglasses, and which makes high quality stereopsis possible. The 3D image control apparatus has an image processing means which generates from an input image signal a brightness signal for displaying a right-eye image and a left-eye image, and outputs the brightness signal to a display means. The image processing means generates the brightness signal by calculating a correction value which increases the brightness in an image signal corresponding to pixels in a predetermined number of vertical lines in such a way that transmissivity deficiency in a raised period or lowered period of shutters of the liquid-crystal shutter eyeglasses is compensated, said brightness being increased in accordance with the positions of the vertical lines.</p> |
