Provided is a control device for a power transmission device for a vehicle of a hybrid type in which a prime mover and an electric motor are connected to a drive shaft so as to be able to transmit power thereto, wherein rattling noise generated during traveling can be effectively suppressed. When any of an output shat torque (Tp), a first electric motor torque (Tg), and a second electric motor torque (Tm) goes across zero, the torque is slowly changed at a preset rate of change at which rattling noise is suppressed, so that rattling noise generated when the torque goes across zero can be suitably suppressed. When the torque of either a first electric motor (MG1) or a second electric motor (MG2) is slowly changed, a shortage of the output shaft torque (Tp) caused by the slow change is made up for with the torque of the other, which is not slowly changed. Thus, the torque shortage of the output shaft torque (Tp) caused by the gentle change is solved, and an influence on traveling performance is reduced. |
