The subassembly (2) has an actuating device (6) moved between a retracted position and a deployed position. A pair of tool supports (8, 9) is movably mounted around a rotation axis (A, B) between a raised position and a lowered position. A kinematic connector (10) is designed such that one of the supports is moved from the lowered position to the retracted position and the other support is moved from the raised position to the lowered position and conversely when the actuating device is moved from the retracted position to the deployed position. An independent claim is also included for an assembly comprising a tool.
