<p>Disclosed is a sintered rare-earth magnet which includes a sintered rare-earth magnet base comprising crystal grains of (R1,R2)2T14B (wherein R1 is at least one rare-earth element other than Dy and Tb; R2 is one or more rare-earth elements comprising Dy and/or Tb; and T represents one or more transition-metal elements comprising either Fe or Fe and Co). In the sintered rare-earth magnet base, the proportion of R2 to the sum of R1 and R2, the R1 and R2 being contained in crystal grain boundaries surrounding the crystal grains, is higher than the proportion of R2 to the sum of R1 and R2, the R1 and R2 being contained in the crystal grains. The concentration of R2 increases from the center of the sintered rare-earth magnet base toward the surface of the sintered rare-earth magnet base, and the sintered rare-earth magnet base has an unevenness of residual magnetic flux density less than 3.0%.</p> |
