PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring guide and a cushion unit, effectively suppressing resonance vibration of a coil spring provided in the cushion unit, effectively preventing occurrence of abnormal noise of the coil spring, with excellent vibration absorbing characteristics. SOLUTION: This spring guide 1 having projecting portions 2f at both the ends of a body barrel and formed into a substantially cylindrical shape is provided between an outer shaft member 11 and the coil spring 13 housing the shaft portion of a damper set 8 with an inner shaft member 12 axially slidably fitted to the cylindrical outer shaft member 11 and interposed between the outer shaft member 11 and the inner shaft member 12. The spring guide 1 is supported by the projecting portions 2f at both the end portions, and certain areas are normally away from the outer shaft member. This allows the body barrel to be displaced in a radial direction by a shock or the like applied by the coil spring 13 on the outer side.
