PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring device which is hardly affected by lubricating oil, heat or the like and has high operation reliability. SOLUTION: The boring device includes a tilting unit 4 arranged between a main shaft 2 and a tool holder 1 and allowing the tool holder to be tilted from an axial line; a drawbar 7 that is reciprocally movable in an axial direction in the main shaft; a first drive means for rotating the main shaft around the axial line; and a second drive means for reciprocally moving the drawbar in the axial direction. The tilting unit 4 includes a base 42 coupled between the drawbar 7 and the tool holder 1 in the axial direction and arranged via the gap with one end of the main shaft 2; a fixing part 44 fixed at a position separated in a radial direction from the axial line at the one end of the main shaft 2; and a coupling part 43 for coupling the base 42 with the fixing part 44 in the radial direction.
