<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide motor control for driving a three-phase brushless motor by two other normal phases when an open-circuit failure occurs in one switching element in a drive circuit of the three-phase brushless motor, or when an open-circuit failure occurs in two in-phase switching elements. <P>SOLUTION: In a period when an induced voltage V<SB>U</SB>of a first normal U phase, is larger than a predetermined threshold Vth1 of a positive polarity, a two-phase drive unit 43 turns on a high-side FET 31<SB>UH</SB>of the first normal U phase, and simultaneously turns on a low-side FET 31<SB>VL</SB>of a second normal V phase. Also, in a period when an induced voltage V<SB>V</SB>of the second normal V phase is larger than the predetermined threshold Vth1 of a positive polarity, the two-phase drive unit 43 turns on a high-side FET 31<SB>VH</SB>of the second normal V phase, and simultaneously turns on a low-side FET 31<SB>UL</SB>of the first normal U phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
