<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing a void in an area around a character of a halftone solid background image as compared with the conventional image forming apparatus in configuration where two kinds of magnetic particles such as small-particle-size magnetic particles and large-particle-size magnetic particles are used as magnetic particles contained in a developer. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus where the developer is conveyed to a developing area opposed to a photoreceptor 4Y associated with rotation of a developing sleeve 12Y, and toner in the developer is transferred to an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 4Y in the developing area so as to develop the electrostatic latent image, the photoreceptor 4Y and the developing sleeve 12Y are driven respectively as follows. The rotationally driving direction of each of the photoreceptor 4Y and the developing sleeve 12Y is set so that the photoreceptor 4Y and the developing sleeve 12Y are surface-moved in a reverse direction to each other in the developing area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
