PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light-emitting device suppressing formation of undesired holes in an organic EL layer. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a light-emitting device, which is provided with a supporting substrate, a plurality of lines of barrier ribs each extending in prescribed directions on the supporting substrate, and a plurality of organic EL elements arranged between the barrier ribs, and in which the organic EL element is composed of a first electrode, an organic EL layer, and a second electrode arranged in this order from a side of the supporting substrate, includes: a step in which an ink containing a material to be the organic EL layer is supplied between each of the barrier ribs and is solidified to form the organic EL layer; and a step to form the second electrode. In the step to form the organic EL layer, the ink supply for supplying the ink from one end to the other end of the row along the row direction is carried out several times while making each of supply positions in the ink row direction differ for each of barrier ribs.
