PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope objective lens which has constitution with excellent assembling efficiency and whose aberration is satisfactorily corrected. SOLUTION: The microscope objective lens 11 includes, in order from an object side, a first lens group G1 comprising a meniscus lens component L1 turning its concave surface to the object side and having positive refractive power, a second lens group G2 comprising a plurality of lens components (CL1, CL2 and CL3) and having positive refractive power, and a third lens group G3 comprising a meniscus lens component CL4 turning its concave surface to an image side. The microscope objective lens 11 is constituted to satisfy following conditional expressions: 1<f1/F<3, 2<f2/F<5, 6<f2x/F<10 and ¾f3/F¾>15, when it is assumed that f1 is a focal length of the first lens group, f2 is a focal length of the second lens group, f2x is a focal length of the lens component having the shortest focal length in the second lens group, f3 is a focal length of the third lens group, and F is a focal length of the microscope objective lens 11.
