PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicore tape-shaped coated optical fiber the tape-shaped coated optical fibers of which are differentiated from one another with improved workability. SOLUTION: The multicore tape-shaped coated optical fiber 10 includes a plurality of combined tape-shaped coated optical fibers 11-15, wherein a plurality of unit tape-shaped coated optical fibers are arranged in parallel and bound by a binding member. A coated optical fiber, which is a standard of each of unit tape-shaped coated optical fibers and is arranged at one edge, is colored in a first color different from the color of each of unit tape-shaped coated optical fibers of the same combined tape-shaped coated optical fibers. At least one coated optical fiber, which is other than the coated optical fiber colored in the first color among unit tape-shaped coated optical fibers, is colored in a second color. The second color is made the same among unit tape-shaped coated optical fibers of the same combined tape-shaped coated optical fibers and is made different among unit tape-shaped coated optical fibers of different combined tape-shaped coated optical fibers. Remaining coated optical fibers are colored in the color, which is other than the first color and the second color and has≤40 saturation C* of an L*a*b* color system in JIS Z8729, or are uncolored.
