PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air buffer material having excellent heat-insulating/weather-resistance properties, wherein the air buffer material is capable of transporting objects to be packaged while stably protecting the objects for a long period of time even under harsh conditions with drastic changes in temperature or atmospheric pressure by housing the objects in a conveyance container such as a container, and the objects to be packaged are comparatively large and have various sizes and shapes. SOLUTION: In the air buffer composed of a synthetic resin material for protecting the packaged objects from external force such as shock when the material is interposed between the object to be packaged and an inner wall of the conveyance container or between the objects to be packaged, the air buffer material is formed of at least two or more systems of independent parallel air chambers, and the mutually adjacent air chambers are provided so as not to interfere with each other while compensating for each other.
