PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for preventing frost formation on a windshield of an automobile capable of preventing a frost formation phenomenon by preventing generation of dew condensation causing the frost formation phenomenon. SOLUTION: A nighttime for generating dew condensation or a time zone for the generation is detected or set by an illuminance sensor S4 or a timer on the assumption that a main key of the vehicle is turned OFF and an engine is stopped. In the time zone, any one of outside air, engine room air and indoor air is blown on an indoor side surface of the windshield 11 to eliminate a temperature difference between a windshield temperature and an ambient temperature, causing the generation of dew condensation. The method for preventing the frost formation can be provided in the easy device for preventing the frost formation 20 by a duct fan unit 21 arranged on a dashboard 18 and the control circuit.
