Working- or functional part, comprises: (a) a top layer (12) of an epoxy resin; (b) a core layer (14) of microballoons (18), glass fiber chips and/or cotton flakes (22); and (c) a lower layer (16) of the epoxy resin. An independent claim is also included for a supporting material method for producing the working- or functional part, comprising: (a) providing the lower layer; (b) applying the microballoons, glass fiber chips and/or cotton flakes to the core layer; and (c) forming the top layer.
