<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for controlling a duty cycle of a CPU. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU fan duty cycle controlling system is equipped with a parameter setting module to set the initial duty cycle of the CPU fan, a regulating step, and a temperature parameter; a duty cycle regulating module to regulate the duty cycle of the CPU fan to a first or second duty cycle; a temperature acquisition module to acquire an ambient temperature and first and second operating temperatures of the CPU; a temperature calculating module to calculate first and second optimal temperatures of the CPU and a difference of both optimal temperatures; and a duty cycle controlling module to acquire the optimal duty cycle range of the CPU fan, and to control the duty cycle of the CPU fan within the optimal duty cycle range.
