<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a measuring error when the flow rate of molten steel flowing inside a continuous casting mold is measured in non-contact. <P>SOLUTION: This continuous casting machine 2 is equipped with: electromagnets 231 and 232 for applying a static magnetic field from the outside to the inside of the mold 21; a magnetic sensor 24 that is installed so that the proximities of the upper end and lower end of the electromagnets 231 and 232 for generating a magnetic field gradient by application of the static magnetic field are set as measurement points and detects the component of the application magnetic field direction of the static magnetic field at each measuring point; and an arithmetic device 25 that detects change of the component of the application magnetic field direction at each measuring point and measures the component of the magnetic field gradient direction of the flow rate of the molten steel 26 at each measuring point, based on the change of the component of the application magnetic field direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
