PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a waiting time of the other user by preventing a currency processor from being monopolized by one user. SOLUTION: A currency processor for processing currency includes: a housing 15; currency receiving and paying parts 21, 22, 23, 35 arranged on the housing 15 to receive and pay currency; and a person monitoring part 10 arranged at the front side of the housing 15 to detect the existence of a person on the front side. The currency processor also includes: a control part 70 which transmits a notification signal or a transaction stop signal when a plurality of transactions are performed during the continuous detection of the existence of a person by the person monitoring part 10; and processing parts 61, 80 for receiving the notification signal or the transaction stop signal transmitted from the control part 70 and performing predetermined processing.
