PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an audio signal suitable for user's chronological age by accurately determines the age from the date of birth stored in his or her driver's license which is made an IC card. SOLUTION: In an acoustic device typified by a navigation device 1, a control unit 10 controls a driver's license reading unit 15 to acquire the date of birth of a holder of a driver's license 2 from the driver's license 2 and accurately determines his or her age. The control unit 10 decides transmission characteristics such as a range and a volume when outputting an audio signal on the basis of the acquired birth of date of the driver. An audio correction unit 18 is set on the basis of the decided transmission characteristics such as the range and the volume, and voice is output from a loudspeaker 17.
