PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which allows a cable, a recording medium etc., to be easily connected to signal input/output portions provided on a rear side thereof. SOLUTION: The image display device includes a display and the signal input/output portions arranged on the rear side thereof, and the display displays an image based on an image by horizontally reversing a display seen from the back side of the image display device through the screen. Furthermore, in the image based on the image by horizontally reversing the rear view of the image display device, it is preferable that one of the signal input/output portions arranged on the rear side, which corresponds to a selected input mode, is highlighted (shown by solid lines in Fig.2), and the other portions are displayed in grayout (shown by dotted lines in the Fig.2).
