<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a change in brightness corresponding to the sensitivity of human eyes. <P>SOLUTION: An adjustment data is added or subtracted to and from a present luminance data D1 to produce a new present luminance data D5 for every lapse of a prescribed time, and this production is repeated until the new present luminance data D5 becomes a target luminance data D2.
