<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for outputting an index of brand power evaluation, the device evaluating, by means of a simple method, the brand power of a characteristic name such as a company name and a commodity name to output an index; and the like. <P>SOLUTION: Characteristic names such as company names, and common names which correspond to the characteristic names are correlated to each other and stored in a name management table. The numbers of times of retrieval, on the Internet, of the characteristic names and common names, which are both stored in the name management table, are stored in a number-of-times-of-retrieval database respectively. When a user terminal designates a characteristic name to be evaluated to make a request for outputting an evaluation index to an evaluation index-providing server, a common name which is correlated to the characteristic name is identified from the name management table, and the numbers of times of the retrieval of the characteristic name and common name are read out from the number-of-times-of-retrieval database respectively. A brand power index, which indicates how many times the characteristic name to be evaluated is retrieved to the common name, is computed from the ratio of the number of times of the retrieval of the characteristic name to the number of times of the retrieval of the common name corresponding to the characteristic name, and then the brand power index is transmitted to the user terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
