PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated saw wire which has an organic coating coated on the surface of a steel-made base wire and used in cutting with abrasive grains sprayed, wherein the organic coating is hard to exfoliate from the surface of the steel-made base wire. SOLUTION: The coated saw wire has an organic coating with a thickness of 0.05-15μm coated on the surface of the steel-made base wire, wherein the hardness (GPa) of the coating surface and its coefficient of variance (standard deviation/average value) are 0.1-1 GPa and 0.05 or less, respectively, when the hardness and the Young's modulus are measured by the nano indentation method. In addition, the Young's modulus (GPa) and its coefficient of variance (standard deviation/average value) are 0.6-25 GPa and 0.10 or less, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
