PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage guide mechanism for a printer including an energizing mechanism that can energize each rolling bearing by equal energizing force by using a sheet of a leaf spring member, is compact and requires small installation space. SOLUTION: In the energizing mechanism 60 of the carriage guide mechanism 40, inner ring supporting shafts 56a and 53a of the rolling bearings 56 and 53 are energized by one sheet of the leaf spring member 61. The balance state of the energizing force is formed between a first arm part 64 and a fourth arm part 67, and between a second arm part 65 and a third arm part 66 of the leaf spring member 61, which are continuous. The balance state of the energizing force is formed via the inner ring supporting shafts 56a and 53a between the first arm part 64 and the second arm part 65, and between the third arm part 66 and the fourth arm part 67 of the leaf spring member 61, which are not continuous. The balance state of the energizing force is formed by the first to fourth arm parts as a whole, and a state where shaft ends 56A, 56B, 53A and 53B on both sides of both inner ring supporting shafts are energized by substantially the same energizing force is formed.
