PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a speaker apparatus from shock or dust by covering a speaker unit with a protecting cover while the speaker is not used. SOLUTION: When covering a speaker unit 3 with a protecting cover 12, a sub enclosure 4 is moved through a drive gear 8 and a rack gear 6 to the inside of a main enclosure 1 by a driving motor 7. The protecting cover 12 is then moved to the front of a squawker/tweeter unit 3 along an outer surface of the main enclosure 1. A roller 14 is rotated in a counter-clockwise direction by rotating the driving motor 13, and the protecting cover 12 is moved in an arrow direction. When the protecting cover 12 is completely moved, the protecting cover 12 completely covers the front of the squawker/tweeter unit 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
