PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient method for determining quality mechanized for manufacturing production control and product quality control of a galenical peony. SOLUTION: The method for determining quality of a galenical peony includes the steps of pre-treating a peony to obtain an analysis sample, providing the analysis sample for instrument analysis to obtain an analysis result, converting the analysis result to numerical data to multivariate-analyze the data, and determining quality thereof from the analysis result obtained. Preferably, the instrument analysis is UPLC/MS or GC/FID analysis and the multivariate analysis is OSC-PLS regression analysis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
