PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact conveying device having high versatility by a simple structure. SOLUTION: In the conveying device 1, an endless drive chain 33 is made to travel along a circulating passage of trays 11 on a position below the trays 11 supported by a support means 21 to be guided from a starting position to an ending position of linear movement by a chain guide unit 32B, and the travel direction of the drive chain 33 is changed from the row direction to the lateral direction at the ending position of the linear movement. The drive chain is then guided from a starting position to an ending position of a lateral movement, and the travel direction of the drive chain is changed from the lateral direction to the row direction at the ending position of the lateral movement. A plurality of roller attachments 34 are arranged at predetermined pitches on the drive chain 33 so that pressing to the tray blocks is alternately performed between the linear movement from the starting position to the ending position, and the lateral movement from the staring position to the ending position.
