PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive multidirectional input device capable of improving the reliability and detecting the precision of an operation, and achieving space saving and miniaturization. SOLUTION: The multidirectional input device 1 is provided with: two interlocking shafts 12 and 22 which are orthogonal to each other; an operation lever 2 for individually rotating the interlocking shafts 12 and 22 by oscillation; a first bevel gear 14 coaxially formed at one end of each of the interlocking shafts 12 and 22; an interlocking shaft 54 which is orthogonal to the interlocking shafts 12 and 22; a second bevel gear 39A coaxially formed at one end of the interlocking shaft 54 so as to be engaged with the first bevel gear 14; a rotary body 58 formed at the other end of the interlocking shaft 54; a magnet 63 formed in the rotary body 58; and a rotation detection means 82 arranged on a substrate 80 for outputting an electric detection signal based on the action of the magnet 63.
