The system (9) has a magnetic member (10) i.e. soft-magnetic element, attached at a bone fragment (8), and a fixing member (22) i.e. mark nail, arranged at bone i.e. thigh bone, of a patient (2) such that the fixing member is in a relative target position to the magnetic member. The relative target position is determined such that magnetic holding force e.g. magnetic attraction or repulsive force, is exerted on the magnetic member. The magnetic member and/or the fixing member include a biocompatible and/or biological casing (38) filled with ferrous fluid. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixation of a bone fragment inside a patient.
