<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively protect a substrate of an electro-optic device. <P>SOLUTION: A display body 20 includes a plurality of liquid crystal elements EA arrayed like a plane in a display area DA. A detection body 30 disposed in a front side of the display body 20 includes a plurality of detection elements EB arrayed like a plane in a detection area DB. A protective substrate 40 is disposed in a front side of the detection body 30 so as to overlap the display area DA and the detection area DB. A cover layer 50 is formed into a shape including a major face cover part 52 covering a major face 74 of the protective substrate 40 in the opposite side to the display body 20 and an end face cover part 54 (54A, 54B, 54C) covering an end face 76 (76A, 76B, 76C) of the protective substrate 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
