PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new Escherichina coli capturing instrument capable of definitely capturing and separating Escherichina coli at a low cost. SOLUTION: Sugar chain having mannose is combined with a carrier surface. As a sugar chain, a desired one is a sugar chain having two or more pieces of mannose, more preferably manno biose, and still more preferablyα-1, 2-mannobiose. As a carrier, any of beads, a filter paper, a plant fiber, and a chemical fiber can be used.
