PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a simple apparatus guaranteeing transfer of an article without damaging the material and/or high transfer efficiency of especially a recent article heavier than ordinary articles. SOLUTION: A drum 12 is connected to a blowing zone 16 through a retention shaft 18 for transferring the article 14 in lateral direction from the drum 12 to the blowing zone 16, and a transfer unit comprising the drum 12 and the retention shaft 18 is placed in a main chamber 21 formed as a pressure chamber 20. A pressurizing sluice 22 for holding and intermediate storage of the articles 14 is placed before the main chamber 21 based on the transfer direction of the article 14 from the magazine 15. The apparatus has a transfer unit 11 provided with a rotatable drum 12 having grooves for holding the rod-form articles 14 and transferring the articles in lateral direction from the magazine 15 to the region of the blowing zone 16. The rod-form articles 14 of the tobacco processing industry can be transferred from the magazine 15 to the transfer line by the apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
