PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod, having a joint structure, hard to generate crying sounds and hard to loosen at the joint structure by an operation in which a small-diameter rod and a large-diameter rod are jointed or separated. SOLUTION: In the fishing rod having a joint part 5 which fits the insertion rod 1A of the large-diameter rod 1 to the fitting hole 10a of the small-diameter rod 10, a groove 1C is formed at the tip of the insertion rod 1A and a filling material 20 softer than the insertion rods is placed in the groove.
